UPDATE: Macon man arrested in Baba-G Smoke armed robbery
According to the sheriff’s office, the armed robbery happened around 12:38 a.m. at Baba-G Smoke, located at 116 Riverside Parkway.
UPDATE (9/8/26): A 42-year-old Macon man has been arrested in connection with the August 25 armed robbery at Baba-G Smoke.
According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Nathan Taylor is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and kidnapping. He is being held without bond at the Bibb County Jail.
The sheriff’s office says an investigator found and arrested Taylor in the 3500 block of Riverside Drive around 10 a.m. Tuesday after receiving a Macon Regional Crimestoppers tip.
The robbery remains under investigation, and the sheriff’s office says Taylor could face additional charges. The release did not say if the second suspect has been identified or remains wanted.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects accused of robbing a Macon smoke shop early Tuesday morning.
According to the sheriff’s office, the armed robbery happened around 12:38 a.m. at Baba-G Smoke, located at 116 Riverside Parkway.
Investigators say a man entered the business with a firearm and demanded money from the store clerk. The sheriff’s office says the suspect struck the clerk before a second armed man entered the store.
The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and merchandise before leaving the business on foot, according to investigators. The clerk was able to escape from the store.
Paramedics treated the clerk for injuries described as non-life-threatening before taking him to a local medical facility.
Investigators say one suspect was wearing a cap, red face covering, black short-sleeve T-shirt, black pants and sneakers. The second suspect was wearing a black long-sleeve T-shirt, black face mask, black pants and sneakers.
The sheriff’s office released surveillance images of the suspects in hopes that someone can identify them.
The investigation remains ongoing.
