UPDATE: Warner Robins woman arrested after Forsyth hit-and-run

The driver, Angela Milam of Warner Robins, was taken into custody and charged with felony hit-and-run resulting in serious injury.

UPDATE: Forsyth Police have made an arrest in connection with a hit-and-run Thursday morning.

According to an update from police, officers responded to Union Hill Apartments on Union Hill Drive just after 10:30 about a report of a collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian.

Police say dispatch reported the blue SUV involved had fled the scene. Officers found the victim, a Forsyth woman, conscious and alert. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.

Witnesses gave police descriptions of the vehicle involved, as well as the drive, and police reviewed camera recordings of the collision. They tracked the vehicle and its driver to Barnesville and impounded the vehicle.

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A pedestrian was hit in a hit-and-run crash at Union Hill Apartments this morning and taken to the hospital, according to the Forsyth Police Department.

Authorities said the pedestrian was alert, conscious and speaking with law enforcement and EMS before being transported for treatment.

Police said the driver involved left the scene, and the incident remains under active investigation.

The Forsyth Police Department said a press release will be issued once the investigation is complete.
