UGA names Petros Kyprianou track & field, cross country coach

ATHENS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A day after announcing UGA track and field and cross country coach Wayne Norton won’t return, Georgia athletic director Greg McGarity announced Norton’s replacement.

Petros Kyprianou, who served as associate head coach for a year and as an assistant with the program since 2009, will take over as head coach, according to a school release.

Kyprianuo was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Indoor National Women’s Assistant Coach of the Year in both 2014 and 2015.
