UGA fullback Merritt Hall medically disqualified

ATHENS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – UGA fullback Merritt Hall has been medically disqualified by UGA sports medicine staff.

The school said in a release Thursday the decision came after the junior from Alpharetta had too many concussions.  He sustained a concussion last week during football practice and has had multiple concussions in college as well as in high school.  The UGA Athletic Association will apply for a medical exemption certificate for him.

Hall only had three carries in his career with the Bulldogs for a total of nine yards but contributed much more to the team as a lead blocker.
