Texas State (2-4, 1-1 Sun Belt) @ Georgia Southern (5-2, 3-1 Sun Belt)
Thursday, October 29 at 7:30 p.m. ESPNU
Georgia Southern’s loss at Appalachian State was its first since joining the Sun Belt Conference.

The Eagles bounce back against the Bobcats with an easy home win:

Georgia Southern 52, Texas State 21

Actual Score: Georgia Southern 37, Texas State 13 (WIN)

No. 19 Ole Miss (6-2, 3-1 SEC) @ Auburn (4-3, 1-3 SEC)
Saturday, October 31 at 12 p.m. ESPN
Arkansas is Auburn’s nemesis. Ole Miss is not.

The Tigers find a way to get pressure on Chad Kelly (especially if Carl Lawson plays) and pull the upset:

Auburn 34, Ole Miss 31

Actual Score: Ole Miss 27, Auburn 19 (LOSS)

South Carolina (3-4, 1-4 SEC) @ Texas A&M (5-2, 2-2 SEC)
Saturday, October 31 at 12 p.m. SEC NETWORK
The Gamecocks racked up nearly 300 yards passing against Vanderbilt, and runningback Brandon Wilds rushed for 119 yards on 24 carries.

It seems the Cocks may have found something, and they’ve had two weeks to prepare for a Texas A&M team coming off a lackluster performance against Ole Miss:

Texas A&M 28, South Carolina 21

Actual Score: Texas A&M 35, South Carolina 28 (WIN)

Mercer (3-4, 0-3 SoCon) @ The Citadel (5-2, 4-0 SoCon)
Saturday, October 31 at 2 p.m.
One of the more surprising stories in the Southern Conference this season is the Citadel’s start.

The Bulldogs, coming off a middle-of-the-pack finish in 2014, are 4-0 in the SoCon for the first time since Jimmy Carter was president.

A loss to Mercer would be surprising but not out of the question:

The Citadel 35, Mercer 21

Actual Score: The Citadel 21, Mercer 19 (WIN)

Morehouse (4-4, 1-0 SIAC) @ Fort Valley State (4-3, 2-0 SIAC)
Saturday, October 31 at 2 p.m.
It’s a Halloween Homecoming in Fort Valley as the Wildcats welcome the Maroon Tigers of Morehouse College.

Homecoming games are supposed to be blowouts, but this one won’t be:

Fort Valley State 35, Morehouse 28

Actual Score: Fort Valley State 35, Morehouse 3 (WIN)

Georgia Tech (3-5, 1-4 ACC) @ Virginia (2-5, 1-2 ACC)
Saturday, October 31 at 3 p.m. ESPNU
Will Georgia Tech have a letdown against Virginia?

The answer is no.

This is the worst team the Yellow Jackets have seen since Tulane:

Georgia Tech 38, Virginia 17

Actual Score: Virginia 27, Georgia Tech 21 (LOSS)

Georgia (5-2, 3-2 SEC) @ No. 11 Florida (6-1, 4-1 SEC)
Saturday, October 31 at 3:30 p.m. CBS
Ah, the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.

Stranger things have happened than Georgia winning this game, but Florida is the safe pick.

Actually, who am I kidding? There is no safe pick in this game:

Florida 21, Georgia 20

Actual Score: Florida 27, Georgia 3 (WIN)

Tennessee (3-4, 1-3 SEC) @ Kentucky (4-3, 2-3 SEC)
Saturday, October 31 at 7:30 p.m. SEC NETWORK
So much for Tennessee and Kentucky challenging for the SEC East’s top spot.

While both teams are coming off losses, Tennessee’s was much less disappointing.

The Volunteers were a few plays away from beating Alabama. The Wildcats were manhandled by Mississippi State:

Tennessee 38, Kentucky 24

Actual Score: Tennessee 52, Kentucky 21 (WIN)

No. 9 Notre Dame (6-1) @ No. 21 Temple (7-0, 4-0 AAC)
Saturday, October 31 at 8 p.m. ABC
Notre Dame isn’t out of the playoff hunt yet, but another loss would be detrimental.

The Irish still have Stanford on the schedule, and um, Temple.

The 7-0 Owls, led by a solid rush defense giving up less than 100 rushing yards per game, will put up a fight in their first ever ranked vs. ranked matchup:

Notre Dame 28, Temple 17

Actual Score: Notre Dame 24, Temple 20 (WIN)
