TRICARE walk-in service ends

ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Georgia (RAFB News Release) – Beginning Tuesday, the TRICARE Service Center here will close its doors.

Robins is one of 189 facilities military-wide slated to end walk-in service.

TRICARE officials say the change is being driven by the advancement of on-line technology and the fact beneficiaries now can easily manage their benefits from home or on the go.

The change is estimated to save the department about $250 million over the next five years.
