Three teens arrested after scooter thefts, vehicle shooting in Lake Wildwood
Deputies say the incidents happened early on December 29 on Abilene Trail and Greentree Parkway.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three teenagers after a theft and a shooting during the early morning hours of December 29.
According to a news release, deputies were called to a home in the 1300 block of Abilene Trail just before 5 a.m. to investigate a reported theft. Deputies say two masked males walked onto the property and stole two motor scooters from the porch. Ring footage shared on the neighborhood’s Facebook group shows one suspect pointing firearms toward the front of the home before both suspects fled on the scooters.
Moments later, deputies say a driver reported being shot at while driving on Greentree Parkway near Unaliyi Trail. Investigators say two masked male juveniles on motor scooters fired at the vehicle, damaging it. The driver was not injured.
On Friday, investigators with the sheriff’s office’s Gang Unit and Property Division executed arrest and search warrants at a home on Edgewater Drive. Two males fled from the back of the home. One was caught and identified as 17-year-old Brandon Marquez Mitchell of Macon, who was already wanted in Bibb County on an armed robbery charge.
A second suspect, a 15-year-old, was caught nearby in a wooded area and was found in possession of a stolen firearm, according to investigators. He was identified as a suspect in the Abilene Trail and Greentree Parkway crimes. Deputies later identified a third suspect, a 16-year-old, as the second person involved in the Abilene Trail and Greentree Parkway crimes. A stolen motor scooter was also recovered outside the home and later returned to its owner.
Mitchell was taken to the Bibb County Jail, where he faces a charge of armed robbery and is being held without bond.
The two juvenile suspects were charged with aggravated assault, theft by taking, possession of stolen property, interference with government property and possession of a firearm by a minor. They were taken to the Macon Regional Youth Development Center.
