Three people accused of trafficking meth from Atlanta to Macon
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Three men are accused of trafficking meth from Atlanta to Macon.
Ramiro Barajas, 52, Cecilio Rodriquez, 34, and Jose Rivera, 28, are all charged with trafficking meth.
Barajas and Rodriquez are from East Point, Georgia. Rivera is from Warner Robins, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The release says the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit was investigating another case when investigators learned about a large amount of meth that was going to be delivered to the Macon-Bibb area. Investigators found out when and where the drugs were going to be dropped off.
Deputies found the three suspects in the parking lot of the Sam’s Club on Log Cabin Drive Friday afternoon. All three were arrested and in possession of more than a kilogram of meth, according to the release.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit worked with the G.B.I., D.E.A., G.S.P. and the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force on this case.
