Temperatures climb more Thursday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures will push into the mid to upper 90s Thursday afternoon.
This Evening
Skies should remain mostly clear around Middle Georgia as Debby has moved further away. A few small showers remain possible for the far eastern counties. Expect wind out of the north to continue at 5-10 mph, gusting to around 15 mph through the night for most of the region. Temperatures will bottom out in the low to mid 70s.
Tomorrow
Middle Georgia will see mostly sunny skies with the possibility for a few stray showers. Most of the region will not see rain. Wind will come from the north-northwest at 5-12 mph, gusting upwards of 17 mph through the afternoon. Highs will peak in the mid to upper 90s, however heat indexes will eclipse 100 degrees across most of the region.
Overnight expect mostly clear skies with wind becoming a bit more westerly as it slows to around 5 mph. Lows will again be in the low to mid 70s, and a stray shower or two cannot be ruled out.
