Teenager dies in head on collision on I-475

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)  – A teenager is dead after a fatal car accident on Interstate 475 near the Eisenhower Parkway exit.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Caleb Sieg lost control of his car while merging onto I-475 around 7 p.m. Wednesday. His car crossed all southbound lanes of the highway before hitting the median and coming to rest facing traffic.

A driver of an SUV didn’t see Sieg’s car and hit it head on. Sieg was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the SUV and her daughter were taken to the hospital and their condition is unknown.
