Sushi Thai’s “Bruce Lee” Roll Packs a Punch

It’s a common misconception that sushi means raw fish. Warner Robins Sushi Thai owner Gigi Villareal will tell you that isn’t the case, especially if you’re talking about something she calls the “Bruce Lee” roll.

“Whether you’re a sushi fanatic or you haven’t tried sushi, once you start eating this and trying this you’re going to love this,” says Villareal.

Villareal was a regular customer at the sushi bar before she became the owner in 1996. She’s quick to let her customers know that Sushi Thai is more than just Japanese and Thai cuisine.

Villareal says, “If you don’t like sushi, you can have Thai, if you don’t like Thai you can have hibachi – the grilled stuff which is safe for everybody.”

She and her sister Gynarchy Villareal-Belanio operate the restaurant together. Gynarchy says the food is really a combination of everything.

Customers like Chase Bowen flock to Sushi Thai weekly.

“I like the sushi and the Thai, and I personally like the spicy food…the spicier the better,” says Bowen.

Kathryn Lieberman adds, “We come here every chance we get.”

How they serve their own family is how they serve their customers, according to Gynarchy.
