Sunshine Food Store robbed while opening

Milledgeville, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The manager of the Sunshine Food Store had just open the doors for business when he was robbed at gun point.

The armed robbery happened Wednesday, around 6 a.m., at the Sunshine Food store located at 153 Allen Memorial Drive.

Baldwin County Sheriff’s Capt. Brad King describes the suspect as a white male around 6 feet tall weighing 200 to 220 pounds.

“He was wearing a brown ski mask when he demanded the money from the cash register,” said Capt. King.

The gunman jumped into the passenger side of a small dark blue or black sedan, possibly a Honda. The driver of the car is believed to have been a white male, according to King.

The getaway car was spotted driving into a neighborhood on Shana Drive, which is behind the store.
