Sunny Mother’s Day weekend up next for Middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Middle Georgia will get a weekend of sunshine and below average temperatures following Thursday’s violent storms.
This Evening
Clouds will slowly work to clear out over the region over the remainder of the evening. Temperatures will remain in the 80s until after the sun sets, then they will begin to plummet. Lows will be in the mid 50s, which is below average for this time of year. Winds will be out of the north at about 5-10 mph, gusting as high as 17 mph.
Tomorrow
Mostly sunny skies will return to Middle Georgia Saturday as highs mainly reach the upper 70s around the region. One or two locations should still get into the lower 80s, but across the board highs will be around 5 degrees below average. Winds will be from the north-northwest at 1-10 mph, gusting upwards of 15 mph.
Tomorrow night expect a few clouds to move through, but skies will remain mostly clear. Lows will fall into the mid 50s again as the wind remains gentle from the northwest.
Mother’s Day
Sunday will be slightly warmer than Saturday as highs generally reach the lower 80s around the region. Winds will begin to shift more towards the west in the afternoon as they remain rather gentle. Clouds will be in more abundance than Saturday afternoon, but overall it should still be great outdoors weather.
More clouds will arrive overnight as the wind shifts towards the southwest. Temperatures will valley in the upper 50s with a couple of lower 60s possible ahead of Monday morning as rain odds climb to begin the new week.
