Community volunteers join investigators in searching for Teresa Meharg after she disappeared from a south Macon healthcare facility

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The search continues for a missing Middle Georgia woman last seen leaving work in south Macon last Sunday night.

According to investigators, 70-year-old Teresa Meharg was working at Blossom Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center the night she disappeared.

Now, members of the community are stepping in to help search for answers.

Volunteer Don Webb says he has been going business to business, asking owners to check their surveillance cameras.

“I started out on both ends of Hartley Bridge Road,” he said. “I checked the cameras at the CVS, the two gas stations on this end, Kroger, and Elim Church on the other end. I’ve also asked the manager at Love’s Truck Stop on Sardis to pull his tapes, and we are looking from midnight the 13th until 4 a.m.”

Webb says he’s focusing on areas near major roadways and possible travel routes.

He’s also urging people in surrounding counties to review their cameras for any sign of Meharg.

“Anybody with Ring cams, security cams, any type of cam that catches a side road that does not have a Flock cam, Peach County, Crawford County, that area is very sparse,” he said. “If businesses could pull their cameras and see if she pulled off an exit… you know, she’s somewhere.”
