Senator David Perdue tours Robins Air Force Base

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Senator David Perdue was in Warner Robins Tuesday morning.

He toured Robins Air Force Base. Perdue says in light of recent terrorist events around the world, supporting the nation’s military is as important now as ever.

He adds it’ll take a group effort to stop ISIS and other terror organizations.

“I believe we’ve got to defeat ISIS on the ground. That means you’re probably going to have boots on the ground. We already have boots on the ground in small numbers, but this is not an invasion of the U.S. force. This is an allied effort in my mind to take ISIS out and also I believe that any solution in the Middle East means that Bashar Al-Assad has got to go,” Perdue said.

Perdue also touched on the candidates running for president in 2016, his experience being a senator, and the need to keep programs at Robins Air Force Base going.
