Robins Air Force Base encourages Boeing employees to apply

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Executive Director of 21st Century Partnership, Col. (ret) Dan Penny spoke at the Macon Rotary Club Meeting this afternoon. He discussed 21st Century Partnership’s and their relationship with Robins Air Force Base and had some good news for Boeing employees.

Colonel Penny spoke on behalf of Robins Air Force Base and announced that the base is hiring. He encourages those who will be losing their jobs Boeing employees to apply. The requirements for jobs at the base are very similar to Boeing’s.

Among discussion, he also confirmed that the base will not be closing, despite rumors.

21st Century Partnership’s mission is to preserve the military presence of Robins Air Force Base.

“The reason we’re here, is not to provide us jobs,” Colonel Penny said. “It’s to prevent the Air Force from removing 24,000 jobs from the Robins Air Force Base.”

The partnership is a non-profit corporation that works closely with the Robins Air Force Base. Colonel Penny encourages the community to support the corporation.
