Reigning Sprint Cup champion Kyle Busch will race at Speedfest

CORDELE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Kyle Busch will be among the field of racers at Speedfest 2016 in Cordele.

The two-race weekend, held each year at Watermelon Capital Speedway, will be held January 29-31.

The ARCA/CRA Super Series Super Late Models will race 200 laps and the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Pro Late Models will race 125 laps on January 31. Both races are non-points events.

Other entries include NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver John Hunter Nemecheck, son of Joe Nemechek; and Harrison Burton, son of Jeff Burton.

Well known short-track racer Bubba Pollard will also attend.

Other entries include Georgia’s Kyle Plott, Dalton Grindle and 13-year-old Chandler Smith; Wisconsin’s Ty Majeski and Joshua James; California’s Zane Smith, North Carolina’s Chris Dilbeck, Florida’s Steve Dorer, Oklahoma’s Donnie Wilson, Alabama’s Bret Holmes, Ohio’s Brandon Oakley and Illinois’ Wes Griffith Jr.
