Galanz Retro refrigerators

More than 120,000 Galanz Americas retro refrigerators have been recalled after 34 fire incidents and one death. Sold at Home Depot and Amazon between January 2019 and September 2022, the internal electrical parts can short circuit and catch fire. Federal officials urge consumers to unplug the refrigerators immediately and contact Galanz for a free in-home repair.

 

Ocoopa Hand Warmers

Ocoopa Direct is recalling 1.5 million rechargeable hand warmers linked to one death and 350 injuries. The lithium-ion batteries can overheat and catch fire. These hand warmers—sold in packs of two with magnets and USB-C ports on Amazon, Ocoopa, and Walmart from September 2018 to May 2026—should be disposed of safely. Affected models are listed on the company’s website.

 

Octrot heated throws and blankets

More than 178,000 Octrot-brand heated throws and blankets sold on Amazon (August 2021–December 2025) are being recalled due to fire, burn, and shock risks. The electrical cord can detach, and there have been over 500 reports of melting, sparking, or smoking, with several fires and injuries. Customers should stop using them and contact the company for a refund.

 

Publix Frozen Berries

Publix has expanded its recall of frozen berries due to possible E. coli contamination. All lots of GreenWise Organic Whole Blueberries and GreenWise Whole Mixed Berries in 10- and 48-ounce bags are affected, shipped to stores in eight states including Georgia. At least 12 people have fallen ill. Customers are urged not to eat the berries and to return them for a full refund.

Golden Link is recalling more than 55,000 Captain America popcorn buckets and Fantastic Four cups. The LED lights use small batteries without warning labels, posing a risk if swallowed by children. No injuries have been reported, but consumers should stop using these items and contact the company for a refund.

 

Joyin Sloosh Dive Sticks

Joyin is expanding its recall of Sloosh dive sticks to include more than 400,000 pool toys. The seven-inch sticks can cause piercing, face, or eye injuries if children land on them or retrieve them underwater, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
