More than 26,000 fabric dressers recalled for tip-over hazard

More than 26,000 fabric dressers are being recalled due to a tip-over hazard that could seriously injure or kill a child. The recall affects EnHomee nine-drawer dressers sold on Walmart.com between September 2023 and March 2026, as well as Romorgniz 12-drawer dressers available on Amazon.com from May 2025 to March 2026. Federal safety officials warn that these dressers are unstable if not anchored to a wall and do not meet current safety standards. Owners are urged to stop using unsecured dressers immediately and keep them away from children. So far, no injuries have been reported.

Teething toy recall: Choking hazard identified

Parents should also be aware that Sili Factory pull string teething toys are being recalled. The silicone strings on these toys are longer and thinner than safety rules allow, creating a risk that they could reach the back of a child’s throat and cause choking. There has already been one report of a child gagging, though no injuries have occurred. These toys were sold on Amazon between May 2025 and April 2026. Pool Owners: Remove recalled drain covers immediately

A recall is also in effect for Oeyuoc white pool drain covers sold on Amazon during spring 2026. These covers can pose a deadly entrapment and drowning hazard. Pool owners are advised to stop using their pool and remove the cover immediately. To obtain a refund, write “RECALL” on the cover, take a photo, and email it to oeyuocchina@163.com. No injuries have been reported, but experts recommend checking your pool for safety-compliant covers and keeping children away from drains.

Cyclospora outbreak linked to iceberg lettuce spreads to nine states

A Cyclospora outbreak tied to iceberg lettuce has now spread to nine states, according to the CDC. Newly affected states include Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania, joining Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia, which were already reporting cases. Over 12,000 people have become ill, most of them in Michigan. Investigators believe the likely source is iceberg lettuce grown in central Mexico. Taylor Farms has recalled its shredded lettuce shipped to 27 states, and Taylor Fresh Foods distributed recalled iceberg lettuce from June 29th to July 16th in several states, including Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida and Iowa. If all cases are linked, this could become one of the largest foodborne illness outbreaks in the U.S. in decades. The CDC recommends washing produce thoroughly—though this may not remove the parasite completely—and cooking lettuce to ensure safety. Consumers should avoid any recalled lettuce.
