Perry Offers Reward for Car Break-in Info
Nearly two and a half months ago, more than 30 breaking and entering into automobiles occurred in Perry. Northside Road, Cherokee Road, North Hampton’s and Cheshire Subdivisions are the locations of the incidents. They are all within a half mile radius of each other.
Eleven firearms, five digital cameras, two GPS devices, six laptops, numerous cell phones and three handbags were stolen from the vehicles.
Perry Police Chief George Potter says, “What’s important about these thefts is that one of these firearms showed up in a drug raid in Macon.”
Vanshun Coleman was found with a stolen gun in his possession. Coleman was arrested in Macon on Thursday for murder. Perry Police are still investigating if the stolen gun was involved in the murder.
The Perry Police Department and Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the individuals involved in these entering automobile incidents.
