OVG brings “new wave of entertainment” to Macon
More than 6,000 people attended the first concert at the Atrium Health Amphitheater.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Oak View Group is planning a packed schedule of performances at the Macon Coliseum, Atrium Health Amphitheater and Macon City Auditorium.
“It’s kinda the new wave of entertainment,” says David Aiello with the Oak View Group.
Aiello says the Atrium Health Amphitheater has been in the making for over 2 years. The venue opened 3 weeks ago and the first concert was Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top on March 24.
“We had just over 6,000 people in the building,” says Aiello when discussing the first concert.
The next concert will be Riley Green on April 4.
