New sign revealed at Washington Memorial Library

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – With a new sign, the Washington Memorial Library is much easier to recognize.

Middle Georgia Regional Library (MGLR) revealed its new concrete, monument quality sign Monday morning. MGLR Director Jennifer Lautzenheiser says now more people will be able to find the historic library.

“So many people don’t even know we are a library but we are,” she said. “And what’s wonderful is that now our community will see what a priority and how special this building is.”

No tax-payer resources were used to build the sign.

The library has more than 400,000 visitors a year. Its mission is to connect people to the resources and information they need to improve their lives.
