Mount de Sales’ Jordan Bowie signs national letter of intent

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -A Mount de Sales tennis player made her college decision official Wednesday, signing her national letter of intent with Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville.

Jordan Bowie has been dominant on the court her entire high school career.

She’s also been a force in the classroom. She has a 4.0 grade point average and plans to major in nursing at GCSU.

“Thankfully she is going to stay closer to home so we can still watch her and see her compete at that level,” says MDS tennis coach Adrienne Hixon. “That’s what’s going to be fun is finally seeing her competing at a level that she is equipped for.”

There are only team matches in GHSA competition, so Bowie’s never taken an individual title. That will likely change soon after she arrives at college.
