Middle Georgia Regional Library hires new director

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Middle Georgia Regional Library hired a new director after an announcement on Tuesday.

The board of trustees sent a news release announcing Jennifer Lautzenheiser as the director of the Macon-Bibb County Public Libraries, the headquarters for the Middle Georgia Regional Library System.

She’s served as interim director since March 2015 and head of public services since January 2015.

Hetty Jardine, chairman of the trustees says, “We are pleased that Jennifer has agreed to be our director. As the leader of our system, she will provide strategic vision and creative leadership.” 

The Macon-Bibb Libraries operate five branches in Bibb County and is the seat of the six county Middle Georgia Regional Library system.
