Middle Georgia native among Mercer baseball’s 2015 signees

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Mercer University head baseball coach Craig Gibson announces the Bears’ latest signing class features 13 player.

Eleven of them are from Georgia, while three are from Florida. One player, First Presbyterian Day School’s Austin Cox, is from Forsyth. The class features eight pitchers and five position players.

“This is one of the largest classes that we have had and it addresses a lot of our needs,” Gibson said in a release. “We really focused on pitching in the 2015 class, which will help us in the future as we currently have seven upperclassmen on our pitching staff.
