Mercer’s first game at SoCon Tourney pushed to Thursday

CHARLESTON, S.C. (41NBC/WMGT) – The Mercer baseball team will have to wait until Thursday to make its debut in the Southern Conference tournament.

The Bears, who took the SoCon regular season title in their first year in the conference, were supposed to play Wednesday against 8-seed The Citadel, but heavy rains and a lengthy delay forced the tournaments two late games to Thursday.

Mercer-Citadel will now start at 9 a.m.
