MCCG Police officer involved in aggravated assault incident

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault incident that took place around 1 o’ clock Wednesday morning.

According to a press release, witnesses say 41 year-old Reeshema Wilson and 41-year-old Hiram Simmons of Macon were traveling on Mercer University Drive when they noticed a vehicle following them.

They pulled into a gas station and Reeshemas’s ex-husband, 39-year-old Carlos Antonio Wilson started shooting at the couple.

They drove off and Wilson followed them down Log Cabin Drive.

He rammed their vehicle on Napeir Avenue causing both to crash.

Wilson pulled Reeshema out of the car.

Wilson fled the scene as deputies arrived.

He later turned himself in to the Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force.

He is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated assault family violence, Kidnapping, aggravated stalking, violation of oath of office and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Wilson was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
