Mayhem falls 2-1 to Huntsville Havoc
The Mayhem took the lead in the second period after a scoreless opening stanza. Jesse Felten’s goal with 1:02 left in the second period from Daniel Gentzler and Michael Montagna. Feltten’s goal was his first of the season.
The lead lasted until 5:58 of the second period when John McGinnis took advantage of a Mayhem turnover and ripped a shot past Garrett Bartus to tie teh game. Then another Mayhem miscue 1:01 later led to a take away by Scott Henegar who fed Steve Mele for the game winning goal. Huntsville has now played thre straight one goal games.
Macon returns to action Saturday night against arch rival Columbus at 7:30. The Mayhem is hosting Hockey Halloween with trick or treat taking place outside the Coliseum starting at 5:30. Various corporate partners of the Mayhem will be passing out candy to youngsters before the game. During the night there will be a costume contest, and a look alike contest for Mac the Mayhem mascot.
