Man found dead in vacant lot in Byron, GBI to conduct autopsy

A 48-year-old man was found dead Wednesday morning in a vacant lot in Byron, according to Peach County Coroner Kerry Rooks.

BYRON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 48-year-old man was found dead Wednesday morning in a vacant lot in Byron, according to Peach County Coroner Kerry Rooks.

Rooks said someone walking through an empty lot on Boy Scout Road near Canady Street found the body of Terrence Trammell around 8 a.m.

Trammell was last seen around 7 p.m. Tuesday, Rooks said, and had been dead for several hours before he was found.

His body is being sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Crime Lab for an autopsy.
