No one hurt, man detained after active shooter scare at Wesleyan College
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Wesleyan College was under lock down for about 30 minutes Monday after the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office received a call alleging an active shooter was on campus.
Deputies detained a man carrying a pocket knife not long after. Nobody was hurt in the incident.
Sheriff David Davis says the man walked onto campus to have a conversation with a family member suspected of being the man’s wife.
According to Linda Howard with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, an employee with the school called 911 saying their was an active shooter situation.
Deputies responded immediately and the school was put on lock down. 45-year-old Aminullah Rahmani was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing. He bailed out of jail shortly after.
