Macon man dead three days after suspected pill overdose

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man died in the hospital Sunday, three days after a suspected overdose in Macon.

Macon-Bibb Coroner Leon Jones says 34-year-old Robert Ketchup died at Coliseum Medical Centers on Sunday.

Jones says Ketchup was found unconscious with “a bunch of pills” at his mother’s house off George Street on Thursday.

An autopsy will be conducted on Tuesday, and the pills were sent to the GBI Crime Lab for testing.

The overdose comes after more than a dozen people in Middle Georgia were hospitalized from a fake Percocet pill, and four were killed.
