UPDATE: Man dies after being shot in Macon Wednesday

UPDATE: Bibb County deputies say 19-year-old Jahfari Shakwun Bullard was pronounced dead at 1:25 a.m Thursday.

This is now an active homicide investigation.

________________________________________________________________________MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 19-year-old is in surgery after being shot around 9:30 Wednesday night.

Sgt. Linda Howard with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says it happened at the corner of Lamar and Ferguson Streets off Vineville Avenue.

Howard says deputies found Jahfari Shakwun Bullard of Macon lying in the street with a single gunshot wound to the torso.

He was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

There is no further information right now.
