UPDATE (7/28/26): The grandmother and legal guardian of the 18-year-old woman pointed a firearm at 20-year-old Patrick Hines Jr. after he refused to release his sister during Saturday’s kidnapping, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office incident report obtained by 41NBC on Tuesday.
The report says Hines arrived without permission, crawled under the garage door, entered the home and grabbed his sister before running outside with her and trying to put her into a car.
According to the report, the grandmother chased after Hines and repeatedly told him to release the victim. When he refused, the report says she pointed a firearm at him and told him not to return. The victim then escaped and ran back to her grandmother.
Hines and 18-year-old Angel Aaliyah Sims drove away before later returning to speak with deputies, according to the report. A deputy arrested Hines and said Sims repeatedly interfered. The report says Sims pulled away when the deputy tried to detain her, which led to a brief struggle before her arrest.
The deputy also wrote that investigators determined Hines’ mother conspired in the kidnapping attempt and that warrants had been obtained for her arrest. The report did not list any charges or indicate that she had been arrested.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Two people face charges after deputies say a 20-year-old man broke into a Macon home and forced his 18-year-old sister into a car before being confronted by their grandmother.
According to a news release, the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center received a disturbance call from a home in the 1400 block of Conestoga Trail around 10:38 a.m. Saturday. That’s in the Lake Wildwood neighborhood.
Deputies say 20-year-old Patrick Hines Jr. unlawfully entered the home, forcibly removed his sister and placed her inside a red four-door sedan.
The sheriff’s office says the victim escaped and ran back to her legal guardian after the grandmother confronted Hines and distracted him.

Deputies say as they tried to arrest Hines, 18-year-old Angel Aaliyah Sims got out of the car and interfered with his arrest. Deputies then arrested both Hines and Sims.
Hines is charged with kidnapping, first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit a felony.
Sims is charged with kidnapping and misdemeanor obstruction of a law enforcement officer. The sheriff’s office says she was also wanted in Bibb County on a charge of terroristic threats and acts.
Both were taken to the Bibb County Jail.
