UPDATE: Arrest made in New Year’s Day shooting at Macon gas station
Deputies say a 27-year-old man was found shot outside a Shell gas station Thursday afternoon.
UPDATE: The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says an arrest has been made in connection with a deadly shooting Thursday at a gas station.
According to deputies, 28-year-old Malik Harris is charged with murder. He was taken into custody Thursday in connection with an unrelated homicide. Deputies say he’s also charged with murder in the death of Travon Maurice Harden on Pio Nono Avenue on December 23.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators are looking into a deadly shooting at a gas station in Macon.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were called to the Shell gas station at 100 South Heron Street, just off Eisenhower Parkway, just after 3 p.m. Thursday after reports of a person shot.
When deputies got there, they found a man unresponsive on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound. He was later identified as 27-year-old Ahmad Shahid Roberts.
Emergency crews provided aid at the scene, and Roberts was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Bibb County Coroner’s Office says his family has been notified.
