Macon driver wins first stock car race

COCHRAN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon man scored his first stock car win Saturday at Cochran Speedway.

Wiley McDaniel, Jr. took the checkered flag in the Bomber Division race, according to the speedway’s Willis Wombles.  McDaniel’s father currently races in another division, and his grandfather owned a car driven by Hoot Gibson of Macon.

Big prize this weekend

$3,000 will go to the winner of the Pure Stock division race on Saturday, August 23.
