Macon-Bibb County Health Department hosts annual drive-thru flu clinic

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – People in Macon traveled to the Macon-Bibb County Health Department’s drive-thru flu clinic

The health department holds this event every year to help people who were not able to get their flu shots.

Beverlyn Ming is the county nurse manager. She said this annual clinic keeps the public safe.

“So many people of our community, people that live here in the community, they want this drive-thru flu clinic and this here is a way to get them immunized in a quick manner,” Ming said. “They can drive through and get their shot, get the information that they need, and be good for another year.”

Ming said even if you were unable to go to the flu clinic, you can still stop by the health department to get your shot.

People with and without health insurance were welcomed. People without insurance paid $25 per dose.

People with insurance did not pay anything. The department billed their health insurance provider.
