Jason Carter Visits Macon During Campaign Tour
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Democratic Governor candidate Jason Carter made a stop in Macon today. One of his seven stops during his Monday tour.
Along with his wife, Kate Carter, he hosted a campaign rally for Teachers for Jason Carter at Rosa Parks Square.
Special guests included carter’s grandmother,former first lady, Rosalynn Carter, and U.S. Congressman Sanford Bishop.
“I am here to support my grandson Jason in the upcoming election for Governor, he has so many good ideas and would make an excellent Governor for Georgia,” Rosalynn Carter said.
Education has been a heavily discussed topic among candidates.
Carter spoke about the importance of teachers and how he will bring education to the forefront of Georgia.
Republican incumbent, Nathan Deal will face Carter in the upcoming general election on November 4th.
