Isolated storm chances return Thursday afternoon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Following a couple of drier days some isolated showers and storms will be possible on Thursday.
This Evening
A partly sunny afternoon will become a partly cloudy and mild night as the northerly winds will become light and variable. Temperatures are likely to valley in the mid to upper 60s for the majority of the region; a few degrees below the average for this time of year.
Tomorrow
Temperatures should still be a degree or two below the average for this time of year for the highs on Thursday during another partly cloudy afternoon. A bit less than half the region should see showers or storms over the back half of the day. The wind will be light from the south-southwest around 5 mph.
Overnight should be mostly clear and a bit warmer with low temperatures expected to hover around 70 degrees; around the average for this time of year. The wind will remain light out of the south. While unlikely a bit of fog could be possible early Friday morning.
Friday and Beyond
Friday should see even higher storm odds in the afternoon as temperatures eclipse 90 degrees for most of the region. Isolated rain odds will be possible through the coming weekend as temperatures surge into the upper 90s by Sunday afternoon. Expect the heat and humidity to both be elevated rolling into July next week.
