Houston County pitcher signs with Armstrong State

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Another Houston County high school baseball player is going to college.

Tanner Hall, a pitcher and first baseman for the Bears who still has one high school season left, signed a letter of intent with Armstrong State in Savannah.

The 6’1, 185-pound lefty will play pitcher for the Pirates.

“You’re the man,” Hall said when asked what he enjoys about being on the mound. “The game revolves around you. You control the tempo of the game. You just feel like you’re in charge of it.”

Hall and the Bears are hoping to get back into the playoffs this spring. They missed the postseason this past season after making it there in three straight years. That stretch included a state title in 2014
