House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams campaigns in Middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An excited crowd filled seats at the Frank Johnson Center to listen to House Minority Leader, Stacey Abrams. Abrams is in the race for Georgia governor.

She wants to tackle education, making sure Georgia residents are involved in government decisions, and expanding small businesses. Abrams also listened to Macon residents and answered questions. She says based off what she heard tonight, she wants to help make a difference.

“I want families to feel like they have pathways to success,” said Abrams. “I think Macon is a perfect example on where that can be done and why that must be done.”

Abrams wants to make sure everyone in the state of Georgia has access to health care. If elected governor, Abrams would be the first female African American governor in nation. She says she’ll be coming back to Macon but doesn’t know exactly when.
