Holden heading to Georgia Southwestern

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Central Georgia Tech women’s basketball player Aleah Holden signs with Georgia Southwestern State University.

The 5’9″ sophomore forward, who played her high school ball at Mary Persons, averaged 7.3 points and 5.5 rebounds this season, shooting better than 72% from the free thrown line. She helped the Lady Titans to a 42-16 record in her two seasons with the team.

“We as a program are extremely proud of all that Aleah has helped us accomplish,” Craig Lawson, CGTC assistan’t women’s basketball coach, said in a statement. “She’s been a part of over 40 wins and two conference semifinal teams. The leadership that she has developed in the past two seasons will serve her well in the future. We’re excited to see what she accomplishes at Georgia Southwestern.”
