Governor Kemp plans to sign Heartbeat Bill soon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Kicking off his statewide tour and celebrating his first 100 days in office, Governor Kemp spoke on the Heartbeat Bill.

Kemp says that he strongly supports legislation that protects innocent life in our state.

The bill is in review and the Governor says his office is performing a legal evaluation. Kemp says his opinion has not wavered on the bill.

Governor Kemp also wants to focus on the following:

  • Human trafficking
  • Drug cartel
  • Street gangs
  • Adoption and foster care reform
