The summer learning experience is designed to promote positive behavior and help teenage girls build confidence through activities and discussions.

Program themes include career development, STEM, community and leadership, sports and health, art of expression and more.

“Girls Dig Deeper Initiative Summer Learning Experience highlights the importance of keeping youth safe, building healthy connections, friendships and staying engaged during the summer with our GDDI Summer Bucket List of events,” said Girls Dig Deeper Initiative Founder and Executive Director Najiva Timothee.

Macon-Bibb County says all participating teen girls will receive school supplies at the end of the program.

Girls who attend all summer sessions will receive a $25 gift card.

According to Macon-Bibb County, the Girls Dig Deeper Initiative has offered mentorship programs, money management classes, community wellness and leadership events, teen mental health and conflict resolution seminars and other programs through Macon Violence Prevention.
