Terrence Edwards, Brian Snitker among Georgia Sports Hall of Fame’s 2027 class

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Former Washington County High School star Terrance Edwards and Atlanta Braves figures Brian Snitker and Terry Pendleton are among 10 people selected for the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame’s Class of 2027.

According to a news release from the hall, its 71st annual induction ceremony is scheduled for the weekend of February 19-20, 2027 in Macon.

The incoming class includes:

Terrence Edwards: A former Washington County High School quarterback, Edwards led the University of Georgia in receiving in each of his four seasons from 1999 to 2002. He finished with 204 receptions, 3,093 receiving yards and 30 touchdown catches. Edwards later signed with the Atlanta Falcons and earned two All-Star selections during nine seasons in the Canadian Football League.
Todd Greene: The former Evans High School and Georgia Southern baseball standout earned All-American honors four times in college. Greene played for six teams during an 11-year major league career, batting .252 with 71 home runs.
Angie Hembree: The high school basketball coach won six state championships and surpassed 500 career victories. She coached future stars Maya Moore and Diamond DeShields and also served as an assistant coach at the University of Miami.
Bruce Heppler: Heppler led Georgia Tech’s men’s golf program for 31 seasons before retiring after the 2025-26 season. His teams won 14 Atlantic Coast Conference titles and reached the NCAA Championship 22 times, including four national runner-up finishes.
Dave Hunter: Hunter compiled a 149-35 record during 15 seasons leading Brookwood High School’s football program, including a state championship in 1996. He finished with 177 victories across 19 seasons as a head coach.
Mike Kenn: The offensive tackle spent his entire 17-year NFL career with the Atlanta Falcons, starting all 251 games he played from 1978 to 1994. Kenn earned five consecutive Pro Bowl selections and is a member of the Falcons Ring of Honor.
Allen “Ace” Miller: A four-time All-American tennis player at Georgia, Miller teamed with Ola Malmqvist to win the program’s first NCAA doubles championship in 1983. He also helped the Bulldogs win their first NCAA team championship in 1985.
Terry Pendleton: Pendleton won the National League batting title and MVP award in 1991 while helping the Braves go from last place to the World Series. He later served as Atlanta’s hitting and bench coach from 2002 to 2017 and is a member of the Braves Hall of Fame.
Richard Seymour: The former Georgia defensive lineman won three Super Bowls with the New England Patriots and earned seven Pro Bowl selections during his NFL career. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2022.
Brian Snitker: Atlanta’s manager from 2016 to 2025, Snitker led the Braves to six consecutive National League East titles and the 2021 World Series championship. He now serves in a senior advisory role with the organization and was inducted into the Braves Hall of Fame in April.
