Georgia Southern Football Camp stops in Warner Robins

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Georgia Southern’s football staff was in middle Georgia Tuesday, evaluating players who could suit up for the Eagles in the near future.

The Eagle Invasion Football Camps are being held all over the state this week.  They’re having two camps a day for interested high school students.  Tuesday morning, the coaches were in Stockbridge for a session before making the drive down I-75 for a night session at Warner Robins High School.
We caught up with Coach Willie Fritz there.

“It gives them a chance to be around us as coaches,” the first-year Georgia Southern coach says.  “It gives us a chance to be around them as well.  We’re also able to get to know them a little bit better, particularly the ones we’re going to be actively recruiting, and get to see how they test out physically as well.”

The Statesboro camp has been pushed back to next month to allow for on-campus facility renovations to be complete.
