Georgia softball beats Tennessee 10-0 to advance to Monday’s region final

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Georgia used a huge third inning to beat Tennessee 10-0 Sunday and advance to Monday’s Little League Softball Southeastern Region Tournament championship game.

Georgia (Warner Robins American) scored two runs in the first inning and added seven more in the third, thanks to RBI singles by Taylor Corley and Kaylee Brown, a two-run single by Olivia Brown and a three-run triple by Ellie Williams.

The game was over after just four innings.

Dannah Persinger pitched three and two-thirds innings for Tennessee (Daniel Boone), giving up 11 hits and 10 runs.

For Georgia, Rylee Lamb gave up just three hits in four innings.

It was a rematch from Friday, when Tennessee held on to win 4-3 despite a late Georgia rally.

Georgia will play North Carolina Monday at 10 a.m. The winner advances to the Little League World Series in Portland, Oregon.
