Georgia Power wants you to be prepared for winter weather
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Georgia Power wants to make sure you’re prepared for the winter weather that is headed our way.
This week was Winter Weather Awareness Week, and the power company is taking steps to make sure you and loved ones are ready to take on any potential inclement conditions.
“This is a great time to prepare,” said Craig Bell of Georgia Power. “That’s the one thing you can control, about how we react and respond to weather. And we think it’s important to families, not just individuals, but families to take the time to prepare themselves for whatever may come.”
Bell suggests you create a winter preparedness kit, which can include snacks, bottled water, batteries, and basic toiletries.
For more information on how you can prepare you own weather kit, you can visit the Georgia Power website at GeorgiaPower.com/PrepareAthon.
