Georgia opens NCAA Tourney against Michigan State Friday in Charlotte

ATHENS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The University of Georgia men’s basketball team will open play in the NCAA Tournament Friday against Michigan State.

The Bulldogs, who earned a No. 10 seed, earned a spot in the East Regional and will meet the 7th-seeded Spartans in Charlotte.

Georgia (21-11) fell to Arkansas in Saturday’s SEC Tournament semifinals. Michigan State (23-11) fell in overtime to Wisconsin in Sunday’s Big Ten Championship Game.
