PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Georgia National Fair is introducing several admission changes ahead of its 2026 run, including a new ticket requirement for children and updated pricing for adults paying cash at the gate.

The fair, which runs October 8-18 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Perry, announced that children ages 3 to 10 will now require an admission ticket. Children’s admission will cost $5 at the gate and $4 when purchased online in advance. Children ages 2 and younger will continue to receive free admission.

Adult admission purchased with a credit or debit card at the gate will remain $15. However, adults paying cash at the gate will now pay $20 for admission, excluding discounted admission days.

Fair officials also announced that all online ticket purchases will include a processing fee.

Seniors ages 60 and older will continue to receive admission for $10 throughout the fair. Season passes will remain $95, while two-day passes will cost $25.

Visitors who purchase tickets online between September 8 and October 7 can save on admission. Adult tickets purchased online will cost $14 before processing fees.

Several discounted admission days are also returning in 2026. On October 8, opening day, admission for guests ages 11 and older will be $10. Patriotic Day on October 12 will offer free admission to active-duty military members, veterans, reservists and retired military personnel, along with their immediate family members, with valid identification.

American Heroes Day on October 13 will provide free admission to firefighters, law enforcement officers, dispatchers and EMTs, along with their immediate family members, with agency identification. Admission for all other guests ages 11 and older will be discounted to $10 that day.

WOW Wednesday returns October 14, offering $10 admission for guests ages 11 and older.

The Georgia National Fair said the pricing changes come as it continues investing in entertainment, attractions, security, cleanliness and guest services.

The annual event features rides, livestock shows, concerts, food vendors and other family-friendly attractions. Fair gates will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, with opening day gates opening at 3 p.m.
