Genesis Joy House needs help building transitional home for homeless female veterans

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Genesis Joy House needs your help to make a difference in the community.

The non-profit organization is building a transitional home for homeless female veterans. It’s the only one in Middle Georgia.

The group was donated property with three buildings. The buildings were abandoned, one even has fire damage, so there is a lot to renovate. The group is getting it done with through volunteer hours, it’s also being funded through donations and grants.

Project manager, Steven Davis says they need all the help they can get.

We need physical bodies here if we can get them here,” said Davis. “Guys step up, let’s go, let’s get this done. We never leave a man behind. No matter skillset, confidence. All we need is someone who is willing to work and able to be here and get us all the assistance we need.”
